They may also be referred from other hospitals for specialist opinion. With experienced children's nurses and neonatal doctors,we provide a range of clinics for children at Monks Park House, Southmead Hospital and at Cossham Hospital, in the ground floor outpatients department. Our Phlebotomists will use an anaesthetic cream, so if you think a blood test will be required please ask when your child is being weighed, as the cream takes approximately 45 minutes to numb the skin. If your child needs to have blood tests done, our nurses will use an anaesthetic cream, and our excellent Phlebotomy team, Caroline, Xu and Pete, will take your child's blood. Children's outpatients Our children’s outpatients departments are at the University Hospital of North Tees and the University Hospital of Hartlepool and we also provide a number of clinics at the Peterlee Community Hospital. Appointments usually last between 20 and 30 minutes. Chelmsford The Phlebotomy Service is available on Monday and Tuesday and appointments can be booked by telephone. We provide the following clinics, Paediatric general clinics, ward follow up, diabetic, dermatology, rheumatology, allergy, epilepsy, oncology, cardiology, urology, cystic fibrosis, growth, dietician services.
