It is projected that during 2020, the PHP network performed approximately 658,000 in person medical office visits and 82,000 telehealth visits.When needed, PHP patients also had access to a contracted Independent Practice Association (IPA) which included 215 medical offices, 121 primary care physicians, and 186 specialists in 2020. The department also developed a process that allowed some COVID-19 patients to avoid ventilators. Hospital nurses were also cross trained to the Home Health environment to assist with the surge of patients and expansion of service area.Patients were also offered telemedicine phone or video appointments when requested.
